A replica of the White House in Washington, DC, Little Rock's Arkansas State Capitol building is the oldest surviving capitol west of the Mississippi River. It is so faithful a likeness to the real thing that it has been used many times in movies. The State Capitol holds different exhibits dealing with Arkansas history, culture and government throughout the year.

Situated 15 miles / 24 km west of Little Rock in Roland, Pinnacle Mountain State Park contains more than 40 miles / 64 km of hiking trails, ranging from routes for experienced hikers to family trails. There are also barbecue facilities available here. Camping is not permitted, although full camping opportunities may be found at Maumelle State Park, only 3 miles / 5 km from the park. In the heart of Pinnacle Mountain Park lies Arkansas Arboretum, whose 71 acres / 28 hectares correspond to the state's six geographic regions, ranging from the Ozark Mountains to the tallgrass prairies of the Mississippi plain.

Little Rock's William John Clinton Presidential Center includes the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum and the Little Rock branch of the University of Arkansas Clinton, School of Public Service and the Clinton Presidential Foundation. The largest presidential library in the USA, it has 20,000 square feet of exhibit space on two levels, with the main attractions including replicas of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room. Guided tours are available.

Located in Little Rock's Statehouse Plaza, this multi-purpose center, built in the Greek Revival style, hosts meetings, exhibitions, art and craft fairs, sports events and concerts. This State Park and archaeological research station, close to Little Rock, contains the remains of a large ceremonial and administrative complex erected by the Bayou people between 600 AD and 1050 AD. There are 18 burial mounds and an embankment on view. Visitors may self-guide or take guided tours of the main attractions by appointment.
