Little Rock's Arkansas Arts Center features works ranging from the European Renaissance to contemporary American art. Located on premises situated opposite the actual school, Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site and Museum throws light on one of the major events in the civil rights movement, when nine African-American students entered the school under state trooper protection in September 1957. The center hosts a bookstore and a permanent exhibit entitled 'All the world is watching us: Little Rock and the 1957 Integration Crisis'.
